There won’t be any more updates to rc3.org daily until July 6, because I’m actually going to be away from the computer for the next few days. Don’t worry, I’m not going to have any fun while I’m gone.

OH MY GOD. AOL and Sun are considering teaming up to completely screw up the Mozilla project. Please, Lord, deliver us from morons. They’re considering modeling it after the Java Community Process, which is really a ridiculous half-assed idea that is designed to sell Sun’s closed manner of developing Java as though it’s open to public comment and involvement.

A computer “hacker” wrote a program to cast thousands of votes for Red Sox players for the All-Star game this season. This is trivial to accomplish with Perl, it’s unfortunate that this person didn’t figure out a way to do it without getting caught.
