I sure wish I’d been in New York yesterday to see the tall ships at OpSail. I thought this picture of a Colombian ship with the crew on the rigging was particularly cool. Apparently, not even all of the people who showed up to watch the ships got to see them, because they turned around before they came within view of the poorer parts of New York. How hurtful to the people that live there. (A reader points out that the ships very well may have turned around due to wind or water conditions, not political conditions, which is probably the case.)
