AOL has thrust the second preview release of Netscape 6 into the world on the heels of last week’s barrage of bad press for the Mozilla project. By all accounts, it’s slow, broken, and crashes frequently. One wonders why Netscape opted to package what they have so far into another branded preview release, given that it delays the final release and just makes them look bad. The browser isn’t even feature complete yet. If you do want to check out Mozilla, download a milestone release at mozilla.org … the Netscape branded stuff is a waste of your time.
