Joel Spolsky has posted Fog Creek’s .NET migration strategy on his site. It makes sense to me. The ASP.NET stuff seems really cool — I think that the Jakarta projects for Java are doing a similar thing for Java web developers. I didn’t realize how much easier a decent application framework made your life until I started writing applications with Struts. I don’t know if what ASP.NET provides is an application framework, but it seems like it provides a similar set of conveniences.
