According to one poll, more 19-29 year olds would vote for Stephen Colbert for President than would vote for Rudy Giuliani or Fred Thompson.

    In the 90’s a Danish comedian, Jacob Haugaard, got elected for parliament by mocking democracy with electioneering promises as (and I’ll translate a little freely here) “More sprinkles on rum-rolls (danish pastry)”, “guaranteed tail wind on bicycle lanes” and “Nutella (chocolate-cream-spread) in army rations”. The whole deal caused quita a commotion both nationally and internationally…
