Hollywood reporter Nikki Finke offers the following suggestion to her readers today:
There is so much traffic on my site right now that I’m having trouble getting the system to update my stories. But keep refreshing for the latest.
I’m not quite sure she understands how this whole Web hosting thing works.

i don’t know if she is completely wrong… did you ever try to post a comment on a blogspot blog? and have to do it four or five times until it will actually post, and it seems to be when the blog is being read, or other commentors are posting… sometimes those tubes get thin, you know?

It’s also possible that she’s unaware of browser cache issues, so that she’s confused when she puts up a new post but she can’t see it in her browser because it’s looking in the cache.
It’s not rocket science, but it’s more complicated than a car, which is the de facto minimum literacy rate in our wonderful country.
