After watching the President’s candid camera moment at the G8 summit, I’ve decided to rank what was most embarrassing about it, from least to most:
- The fact that the President uses profanity in what he thinks is private conversation.
- The fact that the President didn’t know that St. Petersburg, Russia is a long way from Beijing, China.
- The fact that the President has the table manners of a goat.
- The fact that the President has no idea what the word “irony” means.
Couldn’t he have at least watched Reality Bites?

That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking after reading the transcript – especially the part about China being a ‘big country.’ But it gets worse – check http://www.crooksandliars.com/posts/2006/07/18/presidential-groping/ – I honestly believe the President must have been drunk.

I would totally peg W. as a big Winona Ryder fan.
But as far as most embarrassing, I too would put the “shoulder massage” at #1, St. Petersburg at #2, and the rest pretty much fall into place.
Although, I know I wouldn’t do much better on the profanity front…but then I would never get to that position in the first place.

I can honestly say that Bush is not a leader in some big conspiracy headed by neo-cons/oil execs/[insert favorite liberal boogeyamn]. Some of those quotes are just downright horrid. It’s a shame the Democrats couldn’t run a decent candidate against him in ’00 or ’04. When your candidate gets made to look the fool by “Shrub”, you know you are in trouble.

Bush had an awful lot of help from many quarters in defeating Kerry and Gore. To say that Bush made them look like fools is a simplification.
