My friend Jef has written an HTTP server in JavaScript, just to illustrate its utility as a general purpose scripting language. His kung fu is good.

Rafe, a friend of mine has been reading your weblog for years and thought of you when I asked her if she knew of someone who I could hire to assist me in getting a website idea I have up and running. I need more of a programmer than a designer as this would be a complex database. Please let me know if you can assist me with this. Thank you for your time.
