Microsoft is accused of falsifying a video that they showed in court on Monday. The facts in the case have looked bad all along for Microsoft, but falsifying the video probably dealt their credibility a blow that they can’t recover from. In other news, the DOJ will introduce a Microsoft patent application into evidence in which the Microsoft employees applying for the patent make no bones about the fact that the operating system and browser are entirely separate products.
The scumbag anti-abortion activists who run the Web site The Nuremberg Files, were found guilty by a jury of illegally threatening doctors and abortion providers. I take the first amendment very seriously, but this site was beyond the pale. CNN reports.
Under normal circumstances, I never link to MSNBC, mainly because they want you to download an inane plugin so that you can view some collapsible menus on the left side of the screen, but this article they published from the Wall Street Journal was too good to pass up. It briefly chronicles a pitched battle between internal factions at Microsoft, some of whom wanted to bet the company on cross platform development, and the rest of whom wanted to stick with locking developers into Windows in any way possible. Guess who won.
