Saudi Arabia is probably one of the least understood countries in the world, which is peculiar given its strategic importance. Before September 11, 2001, it was widely known to most people as “where the oil is.” Now it’s probably more widely known as “where the terrorists come from.” This month, National Geographic has a great article on Saudi culture and the recent history of the country.
