I have to admit that I’m shocked to see that the Supreme Court has ruled that execution of the mentally retarded is unconstitutional. One might think that this is a landmark stance for the court, but as it turns out, the practice was banned until 1989, when the court decided that executing people regardless of their level of intelligence was A-OK. Needless to say, the brown shirts on the right wing of the court forcefully dissented.
