Tunisian Internet activist Zouhair Yahyaoui is currently on hunger strike in prison, and it is reported that he is in extremely ill health. Sometimes it amazes me that we live in a world where some people can say or write whatever they choose without fear of persecution and others can simply disappear for doing the same thing. Googling Yahyaoui’s name doesn’t bring up any links to obvious ways to help him out, and indeed it’s difficult to reach a prison in Tunisia from a desk in the United States. Reporters Without Borders is working on his case, and they could probably use our support.
