Fidgeters of the world, unite!

I thought I was the only person who randomly clicked around on web pages while they read. Turns out, there’s a whole slew of us.

I not only click while I’m reading, I highlight. If I’m reading a longer paragraph, I find it’s useful to highlight the text I have read so that I can keep track of my place.

Another reason I might click on the text is to ensure that I have the browser’s page element selected (as opposed to a form element, or another application) so that when I scroll with my mouse wheel it does what I expect.
