The grim toll of politics

Looks like 21 workers at the Shorja market died yesterday as Sunni insurgents set out to prove that the statements made by John McCain and Indiana Congressman Mike Pence about the market’s safety were wrong.

  1. I hear if one closes one’s eyes and wishes hard enough, anything is possible, like downtown Baghdad being as safe as main-street DisneyLand, or an invading army getting showered with flowers and chocolates from the grateful brown people.

    Why can’t we have a reality-based government?
