I had a teacher in High School do that, except that he gave us 3 days to write the exam. I think it was 50 questions on American History, 50% on whether our in-class answers matched the keys, 50% on the quality of the questions themselves.
One of the hardest test I’ve ever really appreciated.
I recently tracked him down and sent him a “thank you for your teaching” email.
